  • 1 1/2 poundsflank steak
  • 1/4 cupoil, for the marinade
  • 1 tspchili powder, for the marinade
  • 1 tsponion powder, for the marinade
  • 1 tspsalt, for the marinade
  • juice of 1 lime, for the marinade
  • 1/2 cupcilantro, for the chimichurri
  • 1/2 cupparsley, for the chimichurri
  • 1/2onion, diced, for the chimichurri
  • 1 tspsalt, or to taste, for the chimichurri
  • 1/4 tsppepper, or to taste, for the chimichurri
  • 1 tbspgarlic, for the chimichurri
  • 1/2 tspItalian blend seasoning
  • 1/2 tspcrushed red pepper flakes
  • 1/3 cupoil, for the chimichurri
  • 2 tbspred wine vinegar or apple cider vinegar

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Whisk together the marinade ingredients. Combine the marinade and steak in a large zip-top bag, seal, and chill.

  2. Combine all the chimichurri ingredients in a blender or food processor and pulse until smooth.

  3. Preheat an oiled skillet or grill to medium-high heat. Sear the steak until heavily browned on the outside and slightly pink in the middle.
